Tea caddy made by W Adams between 1920 and 1939. The pattern Rd No 623294 was introduced by William Adams in 1780 and was a copy of a Chinese pattern. All things 'oriental' were very popular in Europe during Victorian times and throughout the Art Deco period.

The pattern consists of 2 themed 'panels' of Chinese gentlemen against a background of blue and white mosaic style shapes. It's mainly in blue and white but occasional splashes of colour highlight the pattern.
This tea caddy once had a lid. Apart from the missing lid it's in great condition with no chips or cracks and with excellent colour and pattern.
Approx. measurements: 10.5cm x 8.5cm and stands almost 13cm.
A significant piece and rare piece of antique blue and white earthenware. The shape is fabulous.
