A beautiful and rare find, new imperial yellow teacup, saucer and spoon.
These are part of unsold stock from an oriental grocery shop operating in the 70's. This plus other crockery sets and items have all been stored away for many years. The styles and designs are indeed rare to find these days.
Hand painted in the 1970's in China in Imperial Yellow. This colour is highly regarded and symbolic of royalty and wealth.
Very fine drinking lip to the cup - ideal for Chinese teas, herbal teas or any tea you enjoy.
Prefer coffee? This cup would be great for your favourite brew.
Dimensions of cup:- ~6 cm high, ~5.5 cm diameter.
Dimension of saucer:- ~10 cm diameter.
Hand painted, features intricate floral patterns with circles containing the symbols signifying long life. The pattern is known as long life pattern.
